ADOBE ACROBAT 5.XX won't open PDF files from websites with Firefox
Might be a brute force cure BUT in Firefox I navigated to
TOOLS > OPTIONS > APPLICATIONS
And changed all the dropdowns For PDFs from "Use Adobe Acrobat
(In Firefox)" to as below
NB: I have Reader 8.1 installed to handle for recent stuff (see below)
IF you google this issue you get directed to solutions to allow PDFs
to open IN FIREFOX, this is not a problem for me, solutions to allow this
seem to rotate around removing APIs in here:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Acrobat\Plug_ins
Or wherever your install of Plug_ins lives, my solution will not prevent
these plugins running as I don't know which ones are NOT actually needed
