MEDION AKOYA E1210 BIOS FLASH FAILURE with bioe1210.exe

Had the following experience in JUNE 2009
Downloaded bioe1210.exe from the medion support website
Unzipped it to the correct directory D:\105
Followed the instructions BUT the flash update failed
NOTE there is no DRIVE D: when you run the MSDOS option!!!!
When I rebooted, the keyboard would not work making pressing DEL or
F3 impossible so....
Could not run windows as could not enter my password
Got hold of a USB keyboard and BINGO re ran bioe1210.exe and then reflashed
the BIOS
NO error message......
Followed the instructions .... no problems
I had forgotten to remove the battery following the reflash first BUT
don't think that was the reason
