Armed with a portable compressor, an air chisel, an air cutter and a few beers..... COO wrestling commences!
The seams created where the back seat panel was removed were seam (MIG) welded
and a strut brace linking the two rear inner wheel arches was added to reduce
flexing
As you can see from the top right and bottom right photos, the car already has a full rollcage providing a lot of stiffness to the body shell. Note the floor cross-brace and "sexy" Spanish number plate!
The foam-lined box tank (4 US Gallons)was later fitted into a custom fabricated frame to raise it above the boot floor (the pipework runs through the car)
